Time Trials
At the start of the season the team has time trials where each swimmer swims all strokes they are legal in. The coaches will enter the swimmers in the appropriate events. All swimmers are encouraged to attend. This is done so the coaches have baseline times for the swimmers, as it allows them to measure everyone's progress throughout the season. This is also needed to help coaches decide on who will be swimming in the first Saturday of the season.
All parents are EXPECTED to volunteer at TIme Trials. It takes over 40 parents to run a meet and we do not have a visiting team, so all volunteers must come from Cottontail. If volunteer positions are not filled, positions will be assigned.
Order of events are freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. All strokes will begin with 8&U and then end with 15-18 age group. Once a stroke is completed, we move to the next stroke.
